 Create a temporary kitchen
Packing up your kitchen — Estimated time: 1-2 days
In order to renovate your kitchen, you're going to need to clean it and clear it out. Pack items into boxes by similarity. For example, put dishes in one box and pots and pans in another. Also, labeling the boxes will help you find items later when you're unpacking and organizing your new kitchen.

If you don't have access to a second kitchen, you will want an area where you can use a microwave and prepare quick meals. There are seven steps to creating a temporary kitchen.

1.Find a location with a sink and faucet that is open and located away from the kitchen remodel. A clean utility room or low-traffic bathroom is a good choice.
2.Use the bathroom counter or a sturdy card-table as counter space to prepare meals.
3.Move your microwave to the location to have the convenience of easy cooking.
4.Move your refrigerator nearby to keep refrigerated and frozen foods close to the new cooking area. If a full-size refrigerator doesn't fit in the area, buy or borrow an under-the-counter refrigerator (the kind found in college dorm rooms) to store the necessities.
5.Keep other small appliances available to have more options for cooking: a crock pot, hot plate, toaster, and skillet provide different opportunities for cooking meals.
6.Silverware, plates, glasses, bowls, napkins, and other utensils should be kept nearby. Storing the items in large storage containers will help keep the area clean and clear.

7.Remember to keep cleaning products, towels, and oven mitts accessible.
